it is pretty standard that as human beings we are selfish. we like to hang on to ourselves and don’t really enjoy getting over things. and as christians we hold on to our reasons why we aren’t fully connected to the body of christ.
i find myself dealing with my sins and holding on to guilt. i don’t know think this is always a humbling experience. the real reason behind this is pretty selfish. i feel like i hold onto it to give me a reason to not be serving. i think that if i have sin in my life that i am dealing with or guilt that is tugging on my heart then i don’t have to do the stuff. that i have reason to sit on the sidelines and deal with my own problems.
so lately i have just been trying to get over it.
the wonderful thing is that jesus died for us as we were sinners. he didn’t come and aks us to clean up our lives and live 30 sinless days before he carried the cross. he just did it.
and i think that is our call as christians is to just do it. we all suck and we all will stumble. but the most important part is what we do after that stumble.
